Bryan Boyle, M.Ed., NCC, LPC-S

Bryan strives to be instrumental in actively supporting his clients achieve their optimal level of emotional health through therapeutic treatment skills including, consultations, teachings, psychosocial assessments, solution-focused brief therapy, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, multidisciplinary treatment plans and crisis interventions. Bryan applies advanced communication skills to handle all aspects of individual, group and family therapy sessions. He enjoys working closely with a multidisciplinary team to evaluate a patient’s ongoing needs and facilitate continuity of care.
Bryan’s practice, which is open to both males and females, is fairly evenly split between adolescents and adults. While Bryan does see adolescents, he prefers to see them by referral from either a pediatrician or psychiatrist. At this time, Bryan is unable to treat persons with eating disorders, or those with a history of animal abuse or cruelty.
Bryan is routinely called upon to consult with emergency room physicians requesting his evaluation of psychiatric patients presenting to one of 40+ Houston area emergency rooms.
Bryan has worked with hospitalized children, adolescents, and adult patients at Kingwood Pines Hospital (KPH) conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing individual, family and group therapy sessions. His caseload regularly included patients diagnosed with chronic mental illnesses including Bipolar Disorder, Major Depressive Disorder and Schizophrenia. For a short time, Bryan served as the Director of Admissions for KPH. While at KPH, he enjoyed the multidisciplinary treatment team approach and its typically positive impact on patients.
Bryan earned his undergraduate degree in communication from the University of Houston, and his graduate degree in counseling and development from Lamar University. Bryan is licensed by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors and is designated as an approved Clinical Supervisor (LPC-S) of licensed professional counselor interns. He is credentialed by the National Board for Certified Counselors (NCC) – an accolade achieved by very few professional counselors. Bryan trained under Dr. Patrick Carnes, a world-renowned researcher, therapist and author, in the use of Carnes' task-centered approach for the treatment of sexual addiction. Bryan’s training included regular clinical supervision from Dr. Stefanie Carnes.
Bryan is an active member of various professional organizations, including the American Counseling Association (ACA), the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA), and the Society for the Advancement of Sexual Health (SASH).
Bryan is a life-long learner. He is certified by the Texas State Board of Educator Certification, as both a public school educator and counselor. He regularly attends professional conferences and seminars. This affords him the opportunity to offer his clients and their families a variety of treatment options, as well as deliver staff development and training to corporate and non-profit clients. Bryan offers Employee Assistance Services (EAP), including Critical Incident Stress Management & Debriefing (CISM/CISD) services, as well as team building and process improvement consultations. Bryan has taught parenting classes in public schools, delivered staff development to teachers and other professionals, as well as presented various work-life workshops to corporate clients. Bryan regularly presents workshops and seminars to other mental health professionals. Known for his sense of humor and dynamic personality, his training and speaking events are usually well attended.
